Alex Walton said: Rome has fewer huge supermarkets; practically no large clearing houses/distributors; and they appear less paranoid about food on the fridges of refridgeration and expiration. because food comes from farmer's markets and small speciality shops without, there at least appears to be less waste; or at least less concentrated waste to pick through for goodies.
